Chef Anthony Pino started Anthony David’s Gourmet Specialties 15 years ago with his spouse and business partner Liz, after they graduated from Johnson & Wales University. Chef Pino began his culinary career with a determined entrepreneurial spirit, selling specialty items to gourmet food shops as he worked in New York kitchens. Early success led to the leap of faith that founded Anthony David’s: first, as a prepared food shop, then in September 2002, the acclaimed restaurant, which expanded, with a totally refreshed new setting, in late 2013.

In November 2008, the Pinos opened Bin 14, Hoboken’s first and only Wine Bar, serving an Italian tapas menu that builds on Chef Anthony’s signature style: a blend of Italian flavors with a mix of modern American and classic French sensibilities. Their AD Catering|Events company was officially established in 2009, after many years of creating stellar events and culinary experiences for individuals and businesses.

Chef Pino is working on a cookbook. He says, “From the age of 10, I knew that I would be a chef. I’ve prepared myself to become today’s chef…applying all the knowledge I’ve gathered throughout my life. We bring the same level of attention to the food I serve at my 10-seat Chef’s Counter at Anthony David’s, as to a gala for 1,000 guests. I’m proud of all that we’ve built here at Pino Hospitality.” The Pino family resides in Hoboken, where they have plans to open another restaurant in 2016.
